Drivers and Guards to help run train rides for public and charter runs.A fulfilling activity, helping our passengers enjoy their vintage experience.
Train Maintenance
Engineering, mechanical and carpentry skills are applied to keeping our train in safe and efficient working order
Track Maintenance
Vegetation control and rail and sleeper maintenance - vital work to ensure our preserved line is safe and pleasant to ride on
Restoration Projects
We undertake restoration of rolling stock and buildings to preserve the past for future generations.Current projects are a 1930s carriage/guards van and the former Waitotara Station building (pictured).
The Waitara Road depot is 500m from the SH3 roundabout at Brixton
At the level crossing, turn right through the yellow gates - be aware of any rail activity
